Christward.net contains many links to external resources and organizations. Some of these links are “affiliate links”. If you click on an affiliate link and then make a purchase at the linked website, Christward.net may receive compensation for referring you. These commissions may range from a few cents to whole dollar amounts.
This is a common practice both online and offline. Let’s say you bring your friend to your gym for a visit. He likes it so much that He joins. For referring him, your gym may reward you with a credit towards your membership dues or some similar benefit.
As our Disclaimer explains, we do not link anywhere without performing due diligence. This applies to all links. We do not prefer affiliate links over non-affiliate links. Rather, if we deem that an organization is valuable enough to share with you, we link to them. If they also offer an affiliate link, then we apply to use it. Please keep in mind that we are, or have been, customers of the majority of these companies.
If, at any time, we discover or are informed that a linked company has, in some way, strayed from our acceptable boundaries, then we will immediately terminate all links to that company.
This linking policy is our effort to provide transparency. We hope it prevents any confusion. Christward is a ministry, before anything else. However, it incurs expenses. Over the years, we have paid for most of this with our own limited income. Any commissions that we may derive from connecting you to quality organizations can alleviate some of these costs.
Additionally, Amazon requires the following disclosure, worded specifically as follows: “We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.”
We understand that many websites refer anyone to anything just for a commission. We do not. We seek to honor our Lord, and your trust, in all that we say and write and do.
